Man City confirm third departure

English Premier League

Following the respective departures of Leroy Sane and captain David Silva, Premier League giants Manchester City have now confirmed that a third player has left the club.

On Tuesday afternoon, Pep Guardiola's side announced that veteran goalkeeper Claudio Bravo has departed after four years at the Etihad Stadium.

"Everybody at Manchester City would like to thank Claudio for his four years at the club and wish him good fortune in his future endeavours," the club said in an official statement.

Bravo joined City in 2016 from FC Barcelona and made 61 appearances across all competitions, predominantly serving as the back-up goalkeeper to Ederson over the past three seasons.

The Chile international won no fewer than six major honours during his time in Manchester, including two Premier League titles, and is expected to join Real Betis in the coming days.

The 37-year-old becomes the third player to leave City after Sane joined Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich and Silva signed for Real Sociedad following the expiration of his contract.
