Former Premier League striker Mamadou Oulare has been slapped with a fine after hosting a braai and breaking coronavirus lockdown regulations.
Oulare, 23, recently returned to Belgium after failing to break into the Watford starting line-up, having joined from Club Brugge as a highly-rated teenager in a £6 million transfer.
And the towering striker has now found himself in the headlines for breaking coronavirus rules in his country where 3,600 deaths have already been reported.
Local newspaper Het Nieuwsblad confirmed the news, with Oulare, one of five to received €250 (R5000) fines for their actions.
"We were not holding a party but apparently the neighbours called the police," he said about the incident.
"I don't think I did anything wrong. I understand the police are doing their job but they mustn't overdo it."
Oulare scored two goals in 14 appearances in the Belgian top-flight before the league was called off, with Club Brugge declared champions.
