Fekir, who's been strongly linked with Arsenal and FC Barcelona after an impressive campaign with the Ligue 1 side is said to be close to agreeing a deal with the Reds.
Reports in French media claimed Jurgen Klopp's side have secured a massive £61.7m (R1.05b) deal for the France international playmaker to reinforce their attacking options for next season.
However, both parties have swiftly denied the rumours in the press, but that didn't stop Mane from commenting on the 24-year-old's potential arrival.
"He is a top player, we would be happy seeing him with us. If he comes he'll do great things with us. Yes, it will be like fire if he comes," he told SFR Sport.
The France-born attacker of Algerian descent has scored 22 goals and registered seven assists in 38 games across all competitions this season.
