Manchester City superstar Kevin De Bruyne is eyeing a reunion with club legend Vincent Kompany back in the Belgium top-flight.
Kompany, 33, made a suprise return to his boyhood club Anderlecht during the off-season after 11 years with the Citizens, in which he featured 360 times for the club.
And De Bruyne, who lifted two Premier League titles within the four seasons alongside the veteran defender is keen to be reunited with his compatriot, who was initially hired as a player-manager the Belgian First League A side.
"I hope his [Kompany's] career will be just as amazing at Anderlecht as it was at City. I've told him to keep a place in his team for me in a year, or seven, when I'm finished here," he told The Sun.
"If he does do that for me I will already have my next destination lined up; my next job. I will definitely miss him being around City."
De Bruyne has scored 42 goals and registered 71 assists in 179 games since joining City from Bundesliga club Wolfsburg in a reported €76 million deal in 2015.
