Manchester City are looking towards the future after finishing as runners-up in the Premier League and have now confirmed their latest signing ahead of the 2020/21 season.
After finishing second behind Liverpool, City has acted swiftly to secure one of the most highly-rated prospects in African football Issa Kabore from Belgian side Mechelen in a deal worth a reported €4.5-million.
The 19-year-old Burkina Faso right-back enjoyed a breakout season in Belgium, featuring five times for the club's first-team in the Jupiler Pro League, and the Citizens have moved quickly to secure his services with a five-year deal.
However, the former Rahimo FC teenager is set to remain on-loan at Mechelen to continue his development before joining up with Pep Guardiola's first-team squad in the 2021/22 campaign.

"Everyone at City would like to extend a warm welcome to Issa and we all wish him well during his time at the club," the statement read on the club's official website.
Kabore made his debut for the Stallions under Paulo Duarte at 18 years and 28 days old in an international friendly against the Democratic Republic of Congo last year.
