Coutinho eyes Premier League return

English Premier League

FC Barcelona outcast Philippe Coutinho looks destined to make a sensational return to the Premier League after the Brazil star's agent dropped a major hint about his future.

After falling out of favour at Barcelona, Coutinho has spent the 2019/20 season on loan with Bayern Munich, where he is hoping to help the club claim the UEFA Champions League title, but could leave the LaLiga giants permanently next season, according to his agent Kia Joorabchian.

"Because the Champions League runs until 23 August, it's going to be very difficult for players like Coutinho to make any commitments or moves before then," Joorabchian told talkSPORT.

"For him to make a commitment is very difficult. We've not kept it a secret that he wants to come back to the Premier League if he can. He adores playing in the Premier League and I think it's one of his priorities, but he's also not against staying in Barcelona so it's very open.

"There's a lot of genuine interest because he's a great player, so there's always interest."
