Dele Alli broke the deadlock just after the hour-mark for Spurs but they had a nervy ending to the match after Son Heung-Min was red-carded with ten minutes remaining after a horrific challenge on Andre Gomes.

Second-half substitute Cenk Tosun snatched the equaliser for Marco Silva's men in the seventh minute of stoppage time to salvage a draw.

Tottenham had to settle for 11th spot in the table with 13 points, while Everton were left lying fourth from bottom with 11 points.

Leicester City regained their third position on the table after beating Crystal Palace 2-0 at Selhurst Park on Sunday afternoon.

Caglar Soyuncu got the opening goal for the Foxes three minutes before the hour-mark and Jamie Vardy sealed the result with the second goal two minutes before time.

Leicester reclaimed their third place on the log with 23 points, while Palace dropped down to ninth with 15 points.
