Reigning Premier League champions Liverpool were one of the busiest teams on Deadline Day after confirming two new arrivals and two departures.
With Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip all looking likely to miss the remainder of the season through injury, Liverpool were always likely to delve into the market to sign defensive reinforcements and landed two new centre-backs on Deadline Day.

The first to arrive was 25-year-old Ben Davies who joined Jurgen Klopp's side on a long-term deal from Preston North End, which is reported to be valued at around £2 million (R41 million). As part of the deal, young Reds defender Sepp van den Berg has moved in the opposite direction on loan for the season.
Davies' arrival was promptly followed by the club's acquisition of Turkey international Ozan Kabak, who arrived at Anfield on a season-long loan from Bundesliga side Schalke 04. In terms of the agreement, the Reds reportedly have the option to sign the 20-year-old on a permanent deal at the end of the campaign.
The Reds concluded their business by loaning Japan international Takumi Minamino out to fellow Premier League side Southampton for the remainder of the 2020/21 season.
