Cross, 19, born in Kempton Park, has been starring in the academy side of Bundesliga outfit Schalke, since joining the club on loan from Bidvest Wits in 2018.
The product of the now-defunct Mpumalanga Black Aces youth-setup has earned rave reviews this season and has been an ever-present figure in their U-19 squad.

Slotted alongside Malick Thiaw, who's also being monitored by Europe's elite, the pair have formed a formidable centre-back partnership over the past 12 months.
And according to the Daily Mail, several Premier League clubs will continue to monitor the progress of the Amajita defender when football resumes in Germany.
Cross, who still has one year left on his contract with the Students, holds dual citizenship with a UK passport and will not face work-permit issues should he make a switch to England next season.
