It has been revealed that an Arsenal star was attacked with a baseball bat by robbers after he and a friend were followed home.
Gunners defender Gabriel Magalhaes is said to have survived the attack, which took place in August, after two thieves followed him and a friend to his home following a night out in London.

The thugs attempted to steal his £45 000 (R949 000) Mercedes-Benz from his garage as they demanded his car keys, his cell phone, and his watch, per the Daily Mail.
A scuffle broke out, with the 23-year-old centre-back courageously striking the man who was wielding the baseball bat in the face and trying to wrestle him to the ground, but the robber managed to escape – leaving his hat behind in the process.

The headwear proved to be a key piece of evidence as Abderaham Muse was imprisoned for five years last month after law enforcement officials linked him to the robbery in August through DNA extracted from the hat he left at the Arsenal defender's property.
Prosecutor for the case Martin Lewis told the Harrow Crown Court: "No injuries were suffered but a great deal of shock was caused.
"They happened to pick on two victims who were very fit and able to look after themselves."
