After Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's new deal and Gareth Bale's return, here is an update of the 10 highest paid players in the Premier League.

The Gabon international ended speculation surrounding his future by signing a new three-year deal at the Emirates Stadium.

According to the Sun, Aubayemang's new deal sees him pocketing £350,000-plus a week which makes him the Gunner's highest earner but he only sits second among the league's highest earners.

The top spot belongs to Manchester United shot-stopper David de Gea who jumped up to £375,000 per week after signing a new deal in 2019, despite his shaky form.

The top three is rounded out by Aubameyang's teammate Mesut Ozil, who despite not playing at the moment, pockets £350,000 a week, which has been criticised by former players and pundits in the last year.

Bale completed his return to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday afternoon, with the Sun reporting that Spurs will pay half of Bale's £650,000 a week salary, which £325,000 a week but click through the gallery to see where the Welshman ranks among the top 10.
