"It's within our right to choose which team to send," Motaung tells KickOff.com. "We sent people there to play and we lost.
"It's normal for people to criticise and they are entitled to their own opinion.
"The players that went there represented the club, we lost and now our focus is next in the League."
Chiefs, who host Free State Stars in the Premiership tomorrow, are still engaged on two fronts this season as they seek to defend their League and Nedbank Cup crowns.
