The Buccaneers went all the way to the Champions League Final last time out, and Tinkler says they will go all out to make it work again.

“There are a lot of fixtures and we will be playing every weekend and midweek, so it’s important we have depth in our squad,” he says in the latest edition of KICK OFF Magazine (issue 453).

“We do have a decent sized squad to play in both competitions [CAF and Absa Premiership]. It’s important for us as a technical team to assess each match and the choices we make in team selection.”

Tinkler adds: “It’s fantastic that we will have four clubs from the PSL participating in these CAF competitions. All four must take these competitions seriously and we need to try and go as far as we can.”

Pirates automatically advance to the next stage of the CAF Confederations Cup where they will meet either Elgeco Plus of Madagascar or Uganda Revenue Authority.
