United bowed out of the competition in the second round on Saturday night, losing 5-1 on aggregate to their Tunisian opponents.
“The sooner we forget about the matter the better,” says Johnson.
“The 4-1 scoreline is not the true reflection of the game because we could have won it. We made two mistakes and we were punished. We were awarded two penalties, we scored one and missed one.
“Looking at both legs, I would say we played more or less the same in both matches but in this we made too many mistakes.”
Despite getting knocked out, Johnson says he would love to take part in the tournament again.
“I would love for my team to be in the competition agains because it’s a great competition and we learned a lot. Even the Champions League, because I would also love to help my team get the star.”
