Tau is not with Sundowns as they prepare to take on Togolese outfit AS Togo-Port at Stade Gerenal Eyadema in Lome in a group stage match on Tuesday (15h00).
The Bafana Bafana international is hoping to secure a move to Brighton Hove & Albion in the English Premier League, and has not been part of the Sundowns team during the last few weeks as they were working on their preparations for tomorrow’s match as well as the upcoming PSL season.
Sundowns are third in Group C after their draws against defending champions Wydad Casablanca and Horoya.
“We’ve long adjusted to Percy. How long have I been saying we preparing for life without Percy and Khama [Billiat]? I knew what was coming and I knew the reality. You can’t just say it’s okay, [because] you are missing two important players who know how we play and now we have to bring in other guys to adjust,” Mosimane tells KickOff.com.
“You know how long it took for 'Vila' [Sibusiso Vilakazi] to adjust, how long it took Aubrey Ngoma. Ngoma’s still not there [in terms of adjustment]. We laugh about it, to say ‘how come people don’t adjust quickly to the way we play?’ I also ask the players and they say it’s because of the way we play. There’s a lot of principles of attack and defence that need to be followed. And there’s also the physical demands, which are very high.”
Sundowns are also without their South American star Gaston Sirino, who is suspended.
