Egyptian giants, Al Ahly cruised to the group stages of the competition after thrashing Cano Sport of Equatorial Guinea 4-0 in the first round, second-leg on Saturday evening at Al Salaam Stadium.
Aliou Dieng, Junior Ajayi, Hussen El Shahat and Salah Mohsen were all on target for the Red Devils in the thrashing of the Equatoguinean side.
Meanwhile, Cano Sport dropped down to compete in the CAF Confederation Cup play-off round before the group stages.
Raja Casablanca 1-1 Al-Nasr (4-2 agg.)
Moroccan outfit Raja Casablanca qualified for the group stages of the tournament despite a 1-1 draw with Libyan side Al-Nasr in the second-leg on Saturday evening at Stade Mohamed V.
Mohsine Moutouali gave Raja an early lead in the eighth minute but Figongang got the equaliser for the visitors in the 23rd minute.
Al-Nasr will have a second bite of the cherry in the play-off round stage in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Zesco United 2-1 Young Africans (3-2 agg.)
Zesco United are through to the group phase of the tournament after edging ten-man Young Africans of Tanzania 2-1 on Saturday night.
Jesse Were opened the scoring for Zesco in the 22nd minute, while Khoetage got the equaliser for Young Africans in the 31st minute.
However, Quadri Kola got the clinching goal for the hosts 11 minutes before time before he Tanzanian side were reduced to ten men in stoppage time.
UD Songo 2-4 FC Platinum (2- 5 agg.)
Zimbabwean side FC Platinum qualified for the group phase of the CAF Champions League after thrashing UD Songo of Mozambique 4-2on Saturday afternoon at Estadio do Ferroviario.
Frank Banda and Ernesto put the hosts two goals up, but Platinum hit back back through Perfect Chikwende and Never Tigere levelled.
Chikwende took over from there, as he netted the third goal in the last minute of regulation time while completed his hat-trick in stoppage time and sealed a come-from-behind .
