Al Ahly goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shenawy says playing the CAF Champions League final at Stade Mohammed V is an advantage for Kaizer Chiefs.
The Red Devils go in search of their 10th Champions League title when they take on the Soweto giants on Saturday evening in Morocco.
While the final is played at a neutral venue, Chiefs will have no problem adjusting after they faced Wydad Casablanca at the same stadium in the semi-finals and claimed a 1-0 win.
“It will be a very difficult game. Kaizer Chiefs will have the advantage because they played at the same Stadium during the semi-finals against Wydad Casablanca," El-Shennawy said, as per KingFut.
“Playing at an Arab country is a good thing for sure, but it won’t put us in a better position since there will be no fans at the stadium.
“We will do everything we can to win the title and make our fans proud. Al Ahly always play for winning. The older players always stress that point and teach it to younger players.
“When we went to the FIFA Club World Cup, we promised ourselves that we will be back soon.
“Older players presence such as Walid Soliman, Saad Samir, and Amr El-Sulya help me a lot.
“We all carry the responsibility of helping the team win every tournament we enter,” he added.
