A Robert Lewandowski hat-trick propelled Bayern Munich to a 3-0 victory over Schalke 04 at Veltins-Arena.

The Polish superstar took his tally to five for the season in just two games with strikes in the 20th, 50th and 75th minute of the game.

Hoffenheim 3-2 Werder Bremen

Hoffenheim claimed a 3-2 victory over Werder Bremen at Rheinar-Neckar Arena.

Niklas Fullkrug gave Werder the lead in the 42nd minute. The hosts hit back through Ermin Bikcacic (54') and Ihlas Bebou (59') before Yuya Osako levelled matters in the 81st minute.

But up popped Pavel Kaderabek in the 87th minute to give Hoffenheim all three points.

Mainz 1-3 Borussia Monchengladbach

Borussia Monchengladbach came from behind to defeat Mainz 3-1 at Coface Arena.

Robin Quaison broke the deadlock for the hosts in the 18th minute but goals from Stefan Lainer (31'), Alassane Plea (77') and Breel Embolo (79') capped an impressive turnaround for Monchengladbach.

Paderborn 1-3 SC Freiburg

SC Freiburg came from a goal down to beat Paderborn 3-1 at Benteler Arena.

Streli Mamba opened the scoring for Paderborn in the third minute. However, Freiburg would come away with the maximum points as Luca Waldschmidt (21'), Nils Petersen (40') and Kwon Chang-hoon (90') secured the come-from-behind victory.

Augsburg 1-1 Union Berlin

Augsburg and Union Berlin played to a 1-1 draw at WWK Arena.

Ruben Vargas netted first for Augsburg in the 59th minute before Sebastian Andersson claimed the share of the spoils with an 80th-minute equaliser.

Fortuna 1-3 Bayer Leverkusen

Bayer Leverkusen cruised to a 3-1 win over Fortuna at Esprit Arena on Saturday.

A Lewis Barker own goal and strikes from Charles Arranguiz (33') and Karim Bellarabi (39') put the visitors in a commanding position. Alfredo Morales would score a consolation goal for the hosts in the 89th minute.
