Wolfsburg 2-1 Hoffenheim

Wolfsburg remained unbeaten since the start of the season after beating Hoffenheim 2-1 at Volkswagen Arena.

Renato Stefen and Wout Weghorst gave Wolfsburg a two-goal cushion going to the break and the latter had a chance to put the game to bed in the last eight minutes but missed a penalty.

Sargis Adamyan gave Hoffenheim hope after pulling a goal back in the last three minutes but it was too little too late as the hosts held for a narrow victory.

Wolfsburg went up to sixth on the log while Hoffenheim dropped down to 13th position after seven rounds of matches.

Bayer Leverkusen 4-3 Borussia Monchengladbach

Bayer Leverkusen edged Borussia Monchengladbach 4-3 at the Bay Arena on Sunday evening.

Leon Bailey and Julian Baumartlinger added to Lucas Alario's first-half brace with two goals in the second stanza that gave Leverkusen a two goal cushion.

Lars Stindl also netted a first-half brace for Monchengladbach and Valentino Lazaro pulled a goal back in stoppage time for the visitors but it was too little too late.

Leverkusen moved up to fourth on the log, just three points behind leaders Bayern Munich while Monchengladbach sit in seventh place on the log with 11 points.
