RB Leipzig 1-4 Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann haunted his former side RB Leipzig after a 4-1 thrashing at Red Bull Arena.

Robert Lewandowski gave Bayern an early lead before Jamal Musiala doubled their lead early in the second stanza.

Andre Silva had a goal for Leipzig disallowed by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) for offside seven minutes inside the second stanza and Leroy Sane made it 3-0 for the Bavarians two minutes later.

Konrad Laimer eventually pulled a goal back for the hosts two minutes thereafter but it proved only to be a consolation goal, as Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting rounded off the scoring for Bayern with the third goal in stoppage time.

Bayer Leverkusen 3-4 Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund won back-to-back matches for the first time after edging Bayer Leverkusen in a seven-goal thriller courtesy of a brace Erling Haaland at Bay-Arena.

Dortmund came from behind three times to rescue victory, with Haaland scoring the first equaliser in the first stanza and then the winner late in the game, with Juan Brandt and Raphael Guerreiro scoring in between for BVB.

Florian Wirtz, Patrik Schick and Moussa Diaby gave Bayer the lead on each occassion but they ended up on the losing side.

Greuther Furth 0-2 Wolfsburg

Wolfsburg maintained their perfect start at the top of the log after a 2-0 win over Freuther Furth at Sportpark Ronhof Thomas Sommer.

Lukas Nmecha got the opener for the Wolves in the tenth minute and Wout Weghorst secured the maximum points with the second goal in stoppage time from the penalty spot.

Hoffenheim 0-2 Mainz

Mainz went up to fourth on the table after beating Hoffenheim 2-0 at PreZero Arena.

Jonathan Burkardt broke the deadlock for Mainz midway through the first stanza and Marcus Ingvartsen sealed the three points for the visitors with the second goal 13 minutes before time.

Freiburg 1-1 FC Koln

Freiburg missed the chance to go up to third on the log after they were held to a 1-1 draw by ten-man FC Koln at Dreisamstadion.

Anthony Modeste broke the deadlock for Koln in the 33rd minute and the visitors were reduced to ten men in the last 16 minutes after Florian Kainz got a second booking and was sent off.

An own goal by Rafael Czichos in the last minute brought Freiburg back into the game but neither side could find the winner.

Union Berlin 0-0 Augsburg

Augsburg are still without a win after they were held to a goalless stalemate by Union Berlin at Stadion An der Alten Forsterei.

Union had a more threatening first stanza and Marvin Friedrich came the closest to getting on the scoresheet for the hosts in the 65th minute with a header from a close range that crashed against the crossbar.
