'We know Zamalek will use police & army'

Tusker FC manager Robert Matano has made the outlandish claim that Egyptian Premier League title holders Zamalek will "use the police and the army" to scare his side ahead of their CAF Champions League match.

The White Knights beat the Kenyan side 1-0 in the first leg of their second preliminary round CAF CL tie on Saturday

With that win, Zamalek took one step closer to the group stage of the competition, but it has since been reported that they trashed Tusker's away dressing room during their post-match celebrations, with the home team describing the behaviour as "unacceptable", according to KingFut.

With the second leg set to take place on Friday evening, Tuskers manager Matano has now sent a warning to Zamalek that he and his team are ready for any potential mind games that could take place ahead of the match in Egypt.

"We know them, we have been there like 10 times or more and I know their behaviour, and we will handle the situation the way it will come," he told Goal.

"We have to cope with it because we know them and we will not be worried because we know how they can possibly behave.

"We know they will start scaring us using the police and the army. They will come with military armour and cause tension in an attempt to scare us. We have seen that before and we are aware.

"Mental strength is going to count a lot because if you are strong mentally, that will be a key aspect. Mental strength is what we are going to train the boys on.

"We are going to put up a tough fight there. It is not going to be easy. You will be surprised to see what we will do in Egypt."
