Pitso names Ahly squad for Super Cup

Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane has named his squad for Tuesday's Egypt Super Cup encounter against Tala’a El-Gaish, which includes a number of new signings.

El-Gaish secured their spot in the Super Cup after their participation in the Egypt Cup last year which they ended up losing to Mosimane's charges.

Mosimane has included the likes of Hossam Hassan, Luís Miquissone and Karim Fouad for the upcoming clash, but Bafana Bafana star Percy Tau miss out after picking up an injury.

Al Ahly have a great record against El-Gaish, as they have registered 25 wins and six draws in 31 encounters against the Cairo-based outfit.

Full squad:

Goalkeepers: Mohamed El-Shennawy, Ali Lotfi, Mostafa Shobier, Hamza Alaa.

Defenders: Badr Benoun, Ayman Ashraf, Yasser Ibrahim, Rami Rabia, Mohamed Hany, Karim Fouad, Ali Maaloul, and Mahmoud Wahid.

Midfielders: Aliou Dieng, Amr El-Sulya, Akram Tawfik, Hamdi Fathi, Mohamed Magdy Afsha, Amar Hamdi, Hussein El-Shahat, Walid Soliman, Mahmoud Kahraba, Ahmed Abdelkader, Taher Mohamed, and Luís Miquissone.

Forwards: Mohamed Sherif, Hossam Hassan, and Salah Mohsen.
