The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) has officially unveiled former Bafana Bafana manager Carlos Queiroz as the new head coach of the Pharaohs.

Queiroz is the new Egypt manager after Hossam Al-Badry was dismissed last week following a disappointing start to the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign.

"Allow me to be an Egyptian so that we can achieve the dream of the World Cup," Queiroz said at the unveiling ceremony, per the EFA.

Earlier on Thursday, former Orlando Pirates and Ajax Cape Town coach Roger De Sa confirmed his appointment to join the Egyptian national team coaching set-up with Queiroz.
