Two-time Africa Cup of Nations winner Herve Renard has apologised to Hakim Ziyech, who was left out the tactician's best XI of players he has coached.
The Frenchman has led Zambia and Côte d'Ivoire to Afcon glory, while he has taken charge of Morocco and Angola.
Earlier this week, the 51-year-old revealed a starting line-up of the best players he has managed and it was dominated by Ghanaian footballers.
Not one Morocco international made the starting XI or bench, with Renard opting for Siaka Tiene, Sulley Muntari and Andre Ayew in midfield.
"My apologies for the mistake in the team that you may have seen, for me Hakim Ziyech is one of the best, it would be disrespectful to football to not include him in the team, he is an incredible player with a lot of talent.
I wish him all the best and he knows it," he tweeted.
Ziyech is set to join up with Premier League giants Chelsea next season after spending the last four years in the Netherlands with Ajax Amsterdam.
