Zimbabwe defender Teenage Hadebe has made an impressive start to life in Turkey after leaving Absa Premiership giants Kaizer Chiefs during the off-season.

Hadebe, 23, was one of Zimbabwe's standout performers at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations which earned him a move to Super Lig outfit Yeni Malatyaspor.

Having featured 35 times for the Soweto giants during his stint in South Africa, the left-footed centre-back is now enjoying a dream start to life with the Turkish side who finished in sixth place last season.

After a solid display in the UEFA Europa League qualification round, the Warriors defender made his league debut title favourites Istambul Basaksehir and produced a remarkable performance that earned widespread plaudits.

His composed showing, accurate passes and instinctive defending, coupled with an assist in their 3-0 win at the Yeni Malatya Stadyumu, earned a spot in the Super Lig Team of the Week.
