Al Ahly legend takes aim at Pitso

Former Al Ahly star Taha Ismail has expressed his unhappiness with the team's current form under Pitso Mosimane.

The Red Devils have been unable to carry their continental form over to the Egyptian Premier League as they are winless in their last three encounters.

The latest draw saw Al Ahly needing a 98th minute penalty from Mohamed Magdy earn a 1-1 draw over the weekend, but they now sit eight points Zamalek who defeated Eastern Company.

“Al Ahly need to take a stand, there are many problems, not just wasting chances,” Taha told ONTime Sports.

“The team is suffering on the physical level, the build-up is extremely slow, and the counterattacks are very slow as well.

“The performance is disappointing and it doesn’t show the club’s spirit.”

Mosimane and Al Ahly will now turn their attention to continental matters when they host ES Setif in the first leg of their CAF Champions League semi-final.
