Cape Verde 1-1 Cameroon
Cameroon ended the group stage campaign with a 1-1 draw against Cape Verde on Monday evening.
Even with qualification secured, the hosts barely changed the line-up as top scorer Vincent Aboubakar and Karl Toko Ekambi continued in the attack.
The decision to stick with Aboubakar paid off when the striker added his fifth goal of the tournament with a left-footed finish in the 39th minute.
Cape Verde would restore parity eight minutes after the break courtesy of a close-range finish from Garry Rodrigues.
Bubista's charges were unable to find a way back into the contest and to settle for third spot, although they could be among the four best third-place finisher with four points.
