Mane to miss Senegal's Afcon opener

Senegal will take to the field in their Africa Cup of Nations opener against Tanzania without Liverpool forward Sadio Mane.

The 27-year-old picked up two yellow cards during the Lions of Teranga's qualifying campaign and is now suspended for the clash against Tanzania.

Senegal face Tanzania on June 23 at the 30 June Air Defence Stadium and manager   Aliou Cisse is believes they will be able to cope without the Reds star.

"His absence should not in any way bother us," coach Cisse told Senegalese media, according to BBC Sport.
"Certainly the presence of Sadio is beneficial but without him we remain strong.
"The CAF [Confederation of African Football] has decided, so we will not linger," Cisse added.
Since making his senior debut in 2012, Mane has gone on to make 60 appearances for his country, scoring 16 goals in the process.
