Former Ghana international striker Junior Agogo has tragically passed away at the age of 40.
The former Zamalek SC striker passed on in England at a hospital on Thursday, according to GhanaSoccer.
Agogo, most fondly remembered for his sensational displays at the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations in which the Black Stars reached the semi-finals of the competition had been debilitated since suffering a stroke in 2015.
He revealed shortly after the incident that he was unable to read or write on his official social media channels, which left him 'lacking confidence' and socially isolated due to his slurred speach.
But it's now been confirmed that the striker, who scored 12 goals in 27 appearances for his country, has passed away in London.
The burly striker spent most of his professional career in England and scored a total of 113 goals in 350 league games over 15 years.
