Maritzburg recruited Moseamedi from fellow strugglers Free State Stars, who they lost 2-1 to at Harry Gwala Stadium on Wednesday night.
The bottom-placed Team of Choice have only scored six goals in 16 league matches this season, with their cause not helped by Ivorian attacker Yannick Zakri going AWOL in the new year.
However, Ertugral has faith Moseamedi will add value upfront.
"With him [Moseamedi] the team will be more stronger," Ertugral said.
"We needed a striker that will help in finding solutions.
"We need goals and also we hope our injured players will be back sooner rather than later."
Moseamedi, who previously worked with Ertugral at Mpumalanga Black Aces, spent five months at Stars following his arrival from Cape Town City.
United also recently added midfielder Mpho Matsi to their roster on loan from the Citizens.
Ertugral's men next visit Absa Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns in Tshwane on January 16.
