KickOff.com yesterday revealed that Usuthu had aqcuired the services of in-deman defender Ayabulela Konqobe, with the club confirming the signing today along with Cele.
Both players are tied to three-year contracts.
“The players are officially signed with AmaZulu FC and we’re pleased to have them. They are quality players who bring much needed quality in their respective positions,” AmaZulu General Manager Lunga Sokhela told the club's official website.
The pair played for Thanda Royal Zulu last season as AmaBhubesi won promotion to the Absa Premiership with AmaZulu subsequently purchasing their status.
Usuthu have also recruited Sadat Ouro-Akoriko, Sduduzo Dlamini, Jabulani Ncobeni, Siyabonga Mbatha and Siyethemba Mnguni in preparation for their return to the top flight.
Cele plundered 19 goals in the National First Division last season, pipped to the Golden Boot by Sedwyn George, formerly of Royal Eagles and now with Ajax Cape Town.
The 30-year-old joins experienced duo Siyabonga Nomvethe and Mabhuti Khenyeza as the club's striking options, whilst interest in Bongi Ntuli remains.
