Matsatsantsa, who are involved in the CAF Confederation Cup, were set to face the Soweto giants at Mbombela Stadium on April 7, but the Tshwane outfit will have to travel to Kenya to face Gor Mahia FC in the first leg of the play-off round on the same weekend.
Matsatsantsa are determined to beat the Kenyan side so that they advance to the group stages for a second year running, after going all the way in last year's competition.
United spokesperson, David 'Mazolman' Skosana, has confirmed that they are seeking postponement of their game against the Buccaneers.
"Yes, it’s true we are seeking for postponement. The game will fall the same weekend with our CAF game against Gor Mahia,” he said.
The PSL, meanwhile, could also be forced to reschedule Mamelodi Sundowns’ last league match against Bloemfontein Celtic at the Dr Molemela Stadium on May 12 due to their participation in the Champions League group stages.
Sundowns are set to travel to Guinea for their clash against Horoya on May 15.
The PSL fixture could also be thrown into disarray if Sundowns qualify for the Nedbank Cup final, scheduled to be played in Cape Town on May 19.
The Brazilians are currently top of the table after 23 games, just a point ahead of second-placed Pirates.
