Stanton Lewis joins Chippa

‘Stiga’ joins in a swap deal that sees defender Gift Sithole and Masonwabe Bovu moving in the opposite direction, and will see him reuniting with new Chilli Boys coach Wilfred Mugeyi, who he worked with at Ajax.

Chairman Chippa Mpengesi is excited about having Lewis on board, saying: “He is one of the very best strikers in South Africa. I have no doubt he will add value to the team.”

SAULS ALSO HEADING TO CHIPPA
Also set to join Chippa is Platinum Stars striker Joshua Sauls.

The 25-year-old forward signed a three-year contract with Dikwena in July last year after scoring 12 goals for Chippa and helping the club to gain promotion into the top-flight.

Stars team manager Jason Raine confirmed to KickOff.com that the two clubs are negotiating a deal.

“We would like Joshua to be loaned to Chippa United until the end of the season and we are currently engaged with Chippa in this regard,” Raine says. “Nothing has been finalised at this stage.”
