Polokwane sign Senegalese striker

The club is now just waiting for the issuing of his work permit before he can be registered with the PSL and become eligible for selection.

Faye had been training with Rise and Shine since last month and has now put pen to paper on a two-year deal.

The 29-year-old, who was heavily linked with a move to Bloemfontein Celtic two years ago, has previously played in Portugal, Romania and Angola.

Polokwane City coach Kosta Papic confirms the signing of the towering forward.

“Baptiste has signed a contract with the club but we are now waiting for his work permit before he starts playing. He is a tall striker that I believe will help us out in a lot of ways,” Papic tells KickOff.com.

Meanwhile, Malawian striker Esau Kanyenda and new Zimbabwean keeper George Chigova are also still waiting for their work permits.

The two players will not be available for selection for tomorrow evening’s match against Kaizer Chiefs at Peter Mokaba Stadium.
