Motshwari sustained a hip injury and missed out on the Buccaneers’ 2-2 draw with Zimbabwean side FC Platinum in the CAF Champions League last Friday.
According to a statement on the Pirates website, the former Bidvest Wits midfielder and they will be hoping that he is fit to play in their final Champions League group match against Horoya in Conakry on Saturday.
“Ben Motshwari is recovering well from his hip injury and there are positive signs that he may train with the rest of the team this week,” the statement read.
Former Chippa United and Jomo Cosmos midfielder Mntambo is undergoing rehabilitation on his hamstring injury.
“The medical team is currently observing the player and it is said that Mntambo is experiencing less pain and discomfort than before.
“Another player on the mend is right back Mthokozisi Dube. He has completed his rehabilitation phase and has since been cleared to train with the rest of the team.
“The diminutive Paseka Mako is also nearing complete fitness having recovered from a knock to the knee in a friendly match recently.”
