Maritzburg will host Pirates in a battle for the summit at Harry Gwala Stadium, with kick-off set for 20h00.
Both sides have seven points from three games, with Maritzburg entering the contest on the back of a 1-1 draw with derby rivals AmaZulu, while Bucs edged Ajax Cape Town 1-0 in Soweto on Tuesday night.
The Team of Choice narrowly missed out on reaching a first ever cup final after losing to SuperSport United in the MTN8 semi-finals last weekend, and Ndlovu says they must learn from their mistakes.
"This upcoming game, obviously we want to win, no one wants to lose," Ndlovu tells KickOff.com.
"So for us it's all about winning now because we want to make history and compete for titles. So I think we've got to go back and rectify our mistakes.
"Obviously it won't be easy because they will know how we play, so we've got to dig deep and stay consistent."
Ndlovu was handed the number eight jersey in the off-season, having made his PSL debut in the second half of last term under current Platinum Stars boss Roger de Sa. The 21-year-old has played all of his team's matches this campaign and aims to continue repaying the faith shown by coach Fadlu Davids.
"This means a whole lot to me. It is the number I chose, which I'm comfortable with. It is the number that I have to respect a lot for me to succeed... it is why I always do my best and perform all the time," concludes Ndlovu, who has been deployed at wingback by Davids.
