Chiefs to parade new signings

Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs will parade their new signings when they take on Botswana Premier League champions Township Rollers.

Amakhosi are set to play Rollers at the newly built Jamali Stadium in Tlokweng, which is 10 kilometres east of Botswana’s capital city, Gaborone, on Saturday.

This will be an opportunity for Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp to give a run to the likes of Lazarous Kambole, James Kotei, Kearyn Baccus and Samir Nurković.

Chiefs have promised Rollers that they will bring a strong team, including their new signings who will have an opportunity to impress just a couple of weeks before the 2019/20 campaign gets underway.

“We uphold the highest standards and we are visiting Rollers, a club we know upholds high professional standards. We will be bringing a strong team including our new signings,” Maphosa was quoted as saying on the Rollers website.

Chiefs will return to South Africa after the match to prepare for the Carling Black Label Cup, to be played at FNB Stadium on July 27.

Chiefs, meanwhile, confirmed the departure of Zimbabwean defender Teenage Hadebe, who has joined Turkish outfit Yeni Malatyaspor.Hadebe was spotted while playing for Zimbabwe at the Africa Cup of Nations and has already completed a medical with his new club.
