PSL pair travel with Kenya squad

Free State Stars' Joseph Okumu enjoys a recall to the Harambee Stars squad where he joins Brian Onyango of Maritzburg United for Kenya’s opening game of 2019 Nations Cup preliminaries.

Okumu’s last appearance for the national team was in November last year in a friendly against Sudan. He has battled with injury since but finished the Premier Soccer League campaign in action for Stars in their 0-0 draw with Chippa United in their last match of the season.

Kenya’s team, picked by coach Stanley Okumbi, is skippered by Victor Wanyama from English top-tier side Tottenham Hotspur.

Left out of the squad is former Lamontville Golden Arrows winger Clifton Miheso, now playing in the Zambian league with newly promoted Buildcon.
