Sekotlong has a penchant for scoring stunners and believes the initiative will go a long way towards motivating players.
"It's a good initiative because it gives supporters a chance to be part of the game and choose which goal is better," he says.
The 25-year-old went on to caution fans against voting with their hearts and not their heads, referencing his nomination for a stunning acrobatic effort in October.
"My goal against Highlands Park stands a good chance but it could also [depend on] which player people like the most instead of whose goal is the best."
Sekotlong also tells KickOff.com that he will start playing for Stars next week as he is already back in training.
"I started training with the team on Monday. I will start featuring for the team next week so people must keep voting and watch out for more of my beautiful goals."
Sekotlong has also been nominated for December's Goal of the Month for his fine solo strike against Bidvest Wits.
