Baroka coach wants "mature" players

Bakgaga were beaten 2-1 by Limpopo rivals Polokwane City over the weekend, a defeat which puts the relegation threatened side under more pressure heading into a crucial stage of the season.

The Telkom Knockout champions are in 13th place on the Absa Premiership standings, just four points ahead of bottom of the table Maritzburg United.

“It pains so much when you are doing all the work and then suddenly you see your players giving away goals. You can’t give away goals like that. There’s [a] need to mature. Players must mature. If players can’t mature, [then] you find mature players, simple! This is PSL,” the Zambian born coach said after the game against Rise and Shine.

“Come to training, you talk about these things, you put in the exercises and players are doing it. [But] Come to the game you see different things, people are jittery. This is why I am saying that we need to look at our squad and see what we can do. ”

Next on Baroka’s schedule is Highlands Park at Makhulong Stadium on Saturday (15h30).

“It’s a matter of not dropping points. You have to be consistent in this business.”
