Baroka confirm Harrison appointment

This website recently reported the development, with Harrison set to assume his new position when struggling Baroka return to training next week after the festive break.

According to Bakgaga boss Khurishi Mphahlele, Kgoloko Thobejane will remain as head coach as he settles into a new house built for him by the club, while the topflight newcomers are uncertain if they will still be able to rope in Deshi Bhaktawer to serve as a goalkeeper coach.

"Yes, Mark Harrison is joining us as technical director," Mphahlele tells

"We were interested in Deshi but it seems he is committed elsewhere overseas."

Baroka, who have their eye on out-of-favour SuperSport United midfielder David Mathebula, are propping up the standings with 12 points from 15 matches.

Thobejane's men will resume their fight for survival against Chippa United in Port Elizabeth on February 8.
