The two South Africans faced off in the Portuguese second-tier as Cele’s Cova Piedade snapped a four-game winless streak with a come-from-behind 2-1 win over Sporting Braga II, with Singh on target for the visitors via the penalty spot for his second goal in seven matches, while Cele featured as a substitute, coming on for the last half-hour in his eighth appearance of the campaign. Cova Piedade are 12th on the log, and Braga 14th, after 12 games.

KEAGHAN JACOBS
Livingston bounced back handsomely from their midweek defeat to Aberdeen with a 5-0 thumping of Hearts, as Jacobs continued featuring as a regular, playing the full 90 minutes in his 15th league game of the campaign. Livingston now lie sixth on the log after 18 games.

KYLE JACOBS
Queen of the South are now six matches unbeaten following the weekend’s 0-0 draw with Dunfermline in the Scottish second-tier, with Jacobs keeping up his impressive feat of starting every game so far this season for the club, who are now fourth on the log after 17 games.

MAY MAHLANGU
Mahlangu did not make the match day squad as Bulgarian club Ludogorets saw off Dunav 2-0 as they maintained their six-point cushion at the summit of the table after 20 games.

MIHLALI MAYAMBELA
Mayambela started his 10th league match of the season, playing 76 minutes as Portuguese second-tier club Farense went down 1-0 to Estoril, leaving them seventh on the log after 13 encounters.

KAMOHELO MOKOTJO
After featuring as a substitute last week, Mokotjo started for the first time since October following his long injury lay-off, lasting 62 minutes in Brentford’s 2-0 defeat to Hull City which leaves them 19th on the table after 22 games, just three points above relegation in the 24-team Championship.

LEBO MOTHIBA
Mothiba played the full 90 minutes in his 15th appearance for Strasbourg as they lost for the first time in four matches, going down 2-1 to Reims as they drop down to ninth in Ligue 1 after 18 games.

RICARDO NUNES
After a long injury lay-off, Nunes came on off the bench for his first appearance in over two months as top-tier Polish club Pogon Szczecin went down 2-1 to Cracovia, with the result leaving them eighth on the log after 19 games.

THIBANG PHETE
In his 12th consecutive appearance for Vitoria Guimaraes II, Phete again played the full 90 minutes as his side won for the first time in six games, beating Academico Viseu 2-0 to lift themselves two points clear of the relegation zone in 15th place after 12 games.

THULANI SERERO
Serero played the full 90 minutes in his 15th game of the season as Vitesse beat VVV 2-1, leaving them sixth on the log after 16 games.

PERCY TAU
Tau played the full 90 minutes in his 15th league appearance for Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, picking up a yellow card for his efforts as his side drew 1-1 at home to log leaders Beerschot-Wilrijk. Gilloise are now three points behind in third place after five games of period two in the domestic league.

SIPHIWE TSHABALALA
Tshabalala was an unused substitute as Erzurumspor took on struggling Turkish giants Fenerbahce in Istanbul, drawing the encounter 2-2 to leave them on level points with their illustrious opponents in 16th place on the log after 16 games.

JOEL UNTERSEE
Untersee featured as a substitute for a second match in a row, coming on for the last 19 minutes in Empoli’s 3-1 Serie A defeat to Fiorentina, leaving them 14th on the log after 16 games.

LARS VELDWIJK
Veldwijk played 77 minutes of his 18th game of the campaign, yet surprisingly didn’t register his name on the scoresheet in Sparta Rotterdam’s 5-0 drubbing of AZ II, a result which saw them leapfrog Den Bosch to the top of the Dutch second-tier standings after 18 matches.
