Swallows FC have confirmed the return of head coach Brandon Truter with immediate effect after serving a period of "special leave".

The club though has warned of drastic changes in the future if poor results persist with another member of the technical team still suspended.

Truter was asked by the club to go on a two-week-long "special leave" after a defeat to SuperSport United on August 19 following a series of internal disputes.

Simo Dladla was then elevated to take care of the team on an interim, but results worsened with The Dube Birds conceding seven goals in three matches during that period.

Swallows boss, David Mogashoa has now confirmed the return of Truter as was reported by this website a fortnight ago.

"Late yesterday afternoon, the management of the club held an emergency meeting with coach Brandon Truter," Mogashoa said.

"This followed his two-week (or three matches) leave. Swallows want to reiterate that the leave was mutually agreed upon following unsatisfactory developments within the team.

"It's common knowledge that assistant Simo Dladla was mandated to carry the mandate of running the team.

"Coach Truter has now returned from leave and will be in charge of the team from now on. We would like to wish him and the team well. Assistant coach Dladla will continue in his role while performance analyst Mr. Kamal Sait will remain suspended pending the outcome of his disciplinary hearing.

"The Board of the team is not happy with the current performance of the team, and it can't rule out drastic changes if the situation persists.".

In six league games, Swallows have scored just once courtesy of Mbulelo Wambi who struck the winner against Royal AM six weeks ago as they got the league campaign underway.

That has been the only win that Swallows have recorded and it is not surprising that they have sunk as low as fourteenth on the standings.

Swallows have now won just four games, lost six and drawn 20 from their last 30 games.
