The former Platinum Stars winger – playing against his old side in the Final at Orlando Stadium – picked up the ball on the right side of the field, cut inside the first defender, got a fortunate bounce as the ball stayed at his feet under a tackle, and then curled the ball with the outside of his right foot into the far corner of the net.

Phala said it was just luck.
"In the box you must take the chance, I took the chance against two defenders, it rolled for me, I just looked down and took the shot, and lucky enough it went in," said Phala.
"It's all about luck. In the box if you try your luck sometimes it falls for you, sometimes it hits a defender and goes out for a corner. So lucky enough for me, it fell for me."
SuperSport United goalkeeper Ronwen Williams, who made a crucial save in extra time to prevent Stars from going 3-2 up, said it was a difficult battle.
"It was a very tough game. Platinum Stars, they are experienced, they know what it takes to play in a final. They have been in three finals in the last year so they knew what it would take, but the guys managed," Williams said.
