Pitso wary of Chiefs' bogey team

Telkom Knockout

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has warned against repeating the mistakes of Kaizer Chiefs as they prepare to face Maritzburg United in Telkom Knockout final.

Sundowns beat Stellenbosch 3-1 during their recent league match in Pretoria yesterday to boost their confidence for the TKO final at the Moses Mabhida Stadium this coming weekend.

However, they face a Maritzburg outfit that earlier eliminated high-flying Chiefs in the previous round, and Mosimane has thus warned  his charges not to undermine their opponents in the final on Saturday.

"If those guys can really, and honestly speaking, create so many opportunities against a side that are top of the log and winning all their games like Chiefs,” said Mosimane.

“If you don’t respect that, because we don’t even beat Chiefs – they are beating everybody,  except for Maritzburg United.

"So, if you don’t respect that, you’re making a big mistake. We have to respect Judas [Moseamedi]; we have to respect all their players. They really have a good team.”
