Sundowns beat AmaTuks 2-1 to march into the Telkom Knockout quarter-final draw to be conducted at the Premier Soccer League offices in Parktown on Monday. The Brazilians were forced to dig deep to record the victory, after they were held at 1-1 by a stubborn AmaTuks side, during regulation time.
"It was not easy –we earned it," said Mosimane after the match.
"I said before, that it was going to be like this and it came exactly the way I said," he added.
"We earned it, and no one gave it to us. It was a cup game; it has its own emotions and its own tempers.
“You look at he guys in the dressing room – people are battered and people are bruised. Its like they come from a battle, they came with wounds and all that.
"We played a strong team – a good team with integrity and so we earned it," ‘Jingles’ concluded.
