Sebola: Pirates must score early

Telkom Knockout

Pirates have an opportunity to end a four-year trophy drought when they take on Bakgaga in the final at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday (18h00), and will have a fresh squad after resting their stars during Wednesday's CAF Champions League match against Light Stars in Seychelles.

Baroka have shown that they cannot be underestimated during the competition, knocking out Mamelodi Sundowns and Bidvest Wits on their way to the final.

"Pirates changed the team when they were playing in Africa during the week, resting some of the players who are going to play in the final. Complacency and undermining is going to be a downfall for them, so they have to stick to what they have been doing because they have not won a trophy in a while now," Sebola says.

"They must work hard, because they are hungry and they want to win the trophy. I believe it is the time for Pirates to win the cup. They have to score early so that they unsettle Baroka because Baroka are not experienced when it comes to cup finals."
