The Egyptian has impressed since his off-season loan signing from Al Ahly, hitting five goals in all competitions for the Clever Boys.
Gamal was once again a threat in the 1-0 win over Celtic in the TKO final on Saturday, notably having a hand in Vincent Pule's 90th minute decider at Princess Magogo Stadium.
The big forward lost his marker Tshepo Rikhotso to lay on a pass for Pule, who back-heeled the ball past goalkeeper Patrick Tignyemb in KwaMashu.
"This is my first cup for me in South Africa so it's a great moment for me and for the team," said Gamal.
"I want to thank the team for the effort on Saturday and the coaches, players and those who were on the bench. Everybody had good spirit and you know if you have good spirit a lot is coming to you.
"On Saturday Bloemfontein Celtic played a very good game but we came here to win and I'm very happy for my first trophy for me in South Africa. I hope I can continue with this performance."
Bottom-placed Wits next host fellow strugglers Ajax Cape Town in the league at Bidvest Stadium on Wednesday.
