R4-million to play for in TKO final

Mamelodi Sundowns and Maritzburg United will split R5.5-million between them after the Telkom Knockout final is decided this weekend.

The Brazilians take on the Team of Choice at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday (18h00) with the winner set to pocket R4-million and the loser R1.5-million.

The trophy would be Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane's ninth piece of silverware for the club during his tenure, having last won the TKO in 2015, while Maritzburg have never won a major domestic title.

Mosimane's side beat Golden Arrows 2-1 in the semifinal while Eric Tinker's charges upset Kaizer Chiefs by the same scoreline in the last four.
