Clifford Mulenga netted the other towards the end of the game as Matsatsantsa recorded their first win of the season – and put them in good stead ahead of the MTN8 Final against Moroka Swallows next weekend.
AmaZulu, on the other hand, have now conceded 11 goals without reply – worrying times for coach Roger Palmgren.
SuperSport started well and should have opened the scoring when Roscoe Pieterson’s cross found Atusaye Nyondo, but he wasted the opportunity.
But 10 minutes later United opened the scoring through Khenyeza, who netted a rebound after Nyondo’s shot was parried by goalkeeper Mbongeni Mzimela.
On 25 minutes United were two up, and again Khenyeza was the goalscorer – this time he was given too much space in the box and fired in a low shot which beat the goalie.
AmaZulu had a few half-chances, with their first clear-cut opportunity falling to substitute Joseph Lekata, whose point-blank header was parried over the crossbar by Rowen Fernandez.
Another substitute, Mulenga, had no such problems as he made an instant impact on 82 minutes, beating Mzimela with a stunning strike from David Nkausu’s throw-in to put the icing on the cake for United.
